Gabbing Geek

Oh hey, this is the page for Gabbing Geek.  We talk about Geeky stuff like movies and TV and comic books.

Mar 10, 2015

It turns out there are three inevitabilities in life and Gabbing Geek 28: Clue, Death, And Taxes covers all three.  In Geekiest News of the Week (GNOW) we (finally? ugh) cover Clue in the Academy Awards, the passing of beloved geek icon Leonard Nimoy, and cross our fingers that Harrison Ford never flies a small plane again.  Things turn a bit dark as we even bet on what geek celebrity is the next to pass away…until a sole voice of reason says we shouldn’t do that.  And then totally gives in and joins the bet.

On the taxes front, we each take turns ranting about something in the geek universe that we find taxing.  Who picked Marvel superhero movies?  Which one of us picked The Big Bang Theory?  And who choose the selective use of science?

Our rants complete, we turn to a fun game of Geek Brewster’s Millions. We update and geekify the Brewster’s Millions game from 1985 and now you have to spend $65 million in only 30 days, in some geeky way, and end up owning nothing in order to win ten times that amount.  How does Watson, Jenny, and Ryan spend that money to win the prize?  You’ll find out!

Don’t forget to join us for our Geek Rematch of Close Encounters of the Third Kind for Episode 29!
